Contributor guidelinesWe welcome contributions that continue the discussion initiated in our forums. Because we want to reach a broad readership, we ask that the essays be relatively short (1000 to 3000 words) and accessible (written lucidly, without academic jargon). We welcome different writing styles but the ones that work best are accessible and engaging even when expressing a difficult and complex idea. One useful piece to read on this topic is: “Back to the Essay,” WLT, Winter 2000, 5-9).
If you are interested in writing for one of the forums, please drop us a note. All submissions will be read carefully and if we need revisions we will work closely with the authors. We also welcome your ideas for future forums. |
